“A man on foot, on horseback or on a bicycle will see more, feel more, enjoy more in one mile than the motorized tourists can in a hundred miles.” – Edward Abbey
We completely agree with Abbey! In today’s world where everything is more mechanized, hurried and tech-dominated, the simple things in life, yet the most pivotal, like adventure, nature and wildlife – are often not completely relished and understood.
Wishbone strives to break this monotony! After eight years of successful summer programs, we continue to introduce your child to the highly educative world of the outdoors.
When do we start?
April 18, 2016
Who are your friends?
The trip is open to children of ages 8-14 only. The group will be limited to 18 participants only.
It all happens at…
Sakleshpur. The campsite is nestled comfortably in a 7,000 acre property – a tea plantation, of which over 6,000 acres is wild and unharmed wilderness.
The adventure begins…
Wildlife tracking, trek, outdoor skills, birdwatching, camping, and photography. Children will camp out by a waterfall; learn various nuances of the outdoors, trek through the beautiful shola forests exploring and looking for wildlife. And of course, for those interested in photography, this forest is a great place to start.
Right from understanding the outdoors, wildlife and nature – children are sure to pick up various constructive skills they might not be exposed to in a classroom or in an urban setting. Besides educating the child on ‘green’ ways of life, independent thinking and good team work is certainly encouraged.
